Ecosystem companies (ES) is an idea concerning the relationship between humans and the environment. In the last two to three decades, this concept has drawn curiosity and has been utilized broadly in international academic issues, coverage making and environmental advocacy. However, the implementation of this idea concerning Thailand’s environmental issues remains in the early levels. This paper goals to stimulate curiosity, shorten the time and overcome difficulties in understanding the idea. It offers information about preliminary ES by presenting the concept derivation and a critique from the “inside,” referring to relevant ES-related programs such as Biology, Ecology, Economics. The remainder of this paper focuses on a critique from the “outside” by which the authors consider a critique from the angle of Political Ecology, which is crucial of it and provokes a discussion of more severe environmental options.
